Granville Island Veterinary Hospital Technicians - Wendy

A skilled registered animal health technologist from Kamloops, Wendy joined our team in 2002 and she has worked in every aspect of the hospital, giving much needed support to our night team, helping out the nurses and receptionists, and regulating our inventory of supplies. Wendy brings a ray of sunshine every day she comes to work; whether she is taking care of healthy puppies and kittens, nursing a sick patient, or anesthetizing someone for surgery, everyone benefits from her great attitude and exceptional attention to detail.

Granville Island Veterinary Hospital Technicians - Kacia

Kacia joined Granville Island Veterinary Hospital in May of 2007. She has been a Registered Animal Health Technologist since 2002 and also holds a Bachelor of Science degree from SFU with a concentration in Animal Ecology.  Kacia enjoys educating clients and has a particular interest in anesthesia and pet nutrition.

In her spare time she enjoys cuddling with her little boy Kaden, husband Mike and two rescue kitties Danae and Fizzgig. She also enjoys reading at coffee shops, cycling, dancing and socializing with girlfriends.

Granville Island Veterinary Hospital Technicians - Lori

Lori first came to Granville Island as a practicum student in April 2007 and once completed, we had to keep her!  She is a NAIT, Fairview graduate and completed the Animal Health Technology Program in May 2007.  She loves all aspects of the profession but has a particular interest in Surgery and Dentistry.

Originally from Victoria, Lori has settled here in Vancouver with her cats, Mister, Raine, and Penelope Jane (yes she is a bit of a cat lady!)  However, she does love Boston Terriers and hopes to have her own one day!

Granville Island Veterinary Hospital Technicians - Nadia

Born and raised in Vancouver, Nadia first joined our team in 2005. She graduated from the Animal Health Technology program at Thompson Rivers University. She proved to be an asset in a short period of time, but she dreamed of working in a zoo. At the end of 2006, she drove across the USA, with her dog Faith to live and work in Baltimore, Maryland. Although she adored her exotic patients, she missed Vancouver. Almost six years later, she has returned home to raise her son in the city she loves and has returned to our hospital!

She loves animal of all sizes and hopes to adopt a bearded dragon. She loves spending time with her family, friends and her shepherd mix, Faith.

Granville Island Veterinary Hospital Technicians - Kelly and Kipper

Kelly graduated from Thompson Rivers University in 2013 and joined our team as a Registered Veterinary Technologist in 2014.  After spending a few years in the Okanagan, she is happy to be back home and thoroughly loving her career.

Kelly began volunteering with the Canadian Animal Assistance Team on a spay/neuter clinic in a remote Northwest Vancouver Island community.  The experience was tremendously rewarding, and she plans to continue with more trips in the future.

At home, Kelly has two cats, "Marcus" and "BC", both rescued as strays in the Okanagan.
